The Company has said/said/says/whatnot is more accurate as we know they have said this - we dont know whether they will do it or not - it wouldnt be unprecedented. If they already have done it, then it needs to be put into past tense and more details on findings/actions need to be put into the article. If they are in the process, it should be put into present tense. At least, thats what I think. 24.10.139.96 07:31, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

The first two paragraphs of the main page are directly quoted from PPC's website. The information is accurate, I just don't think that's the wikipedia way to do things. Walzmyn 10:57, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pilgrims Pride logo.gif

[edit]

Image:Pilgrims Pride logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Pilgrim's CorpPilgrim's Pride – The company is normally referred to as Pilgrim's, Pilgrim's Pride or Pilgrim's Pride Corporation but (almost?) never as Pilgrim's Corp. In November 2012 the page was moved from Pilgrim's Pride to Pilgrim's Corp by an editor who was blocked as a sock 2 months later. The company's logo is Pilgrim's[1] and used to be Pilgrims Pride - as still used in our article. The company uses Pilgrim's Pride in most of its press releases[2]. Its SEC filings are as Pilgrims Pride Corporation[3], which is also the name the financial media use, and its NASDAQ code is PPC. Its website uses Pilgrims and Pilgrims Pride.[4] NebY (talk) 12:54, 30 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Support – no evidence for "Corp". The ngram is skewed by the fact that the phrase "Pilgrim's pride" is part of the poem/song "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" and is also part of a book title, but it shows a clear preference for that term over any other. There's some statistical support for "Pilgrim's Pride Corporation", which would help disambiguate it somewhat, but given that there is no other topic on Wikipedia by that name, "Pilgrim's Pride" is probably fine. Improving the article

[edit]

I've been in touch with Pilgrim's Pride about general improvements to this article, and it seems to me that while the content of the article is good, it's in need of some reorganization to better present the information. I'll post back here with a sandbox once it's ready, but if anyone has any suggestions or concerns I'm happy to collaborate.--FacultiesIntact (talk) 21:44, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
