Article Critique 1/31/17 Art in Renaissance Italy

[edit]

Overall, I think that this article provided a subpar amount of information on Pinturicchio, but did so in a structured format. The contents box helped to organize the page into different sub-headings. However, I do not believe that it was all presented in the most efficient way possible. The Early Life section provides a small amount of information on Pinturrichio's background. After that small bit, all that is written about is his artwork and with whom he collaborated. A few of the paragraphs on his works could be rewritten with more clarity. For example, the Works in the Vatican Library section is very long and goes without a citation. In general, this article lacks quite a few citations after supplied information. At another point, there is a paragraph listing "the public collections holding works by Pinturrichio" which also has no citation. The Notes section and the Sources section each make references to each other which makes it very difficult for a reader to figure out where the citation comes from. A positive aspect of this article was that the author(s) included many embedded links to relevant topics and people on wikipedia. Additionally, the article has a neutral tone throughout Taylorracioppi (talk) 04:40, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
