Pinus bungeana[edit]

an excellent specimen seen in the grounds of Confucius's gardens in Tain, to the South of Jannin which is about a 1 hour flight from Beijing. The bark was most unusual and made a contrast to the very old Cupressus trees that are most revered, particularly the "dragon tree".

Chinese name[edit]

I hope that someone with knowledge of Chinese language can check the translations on this page and at the cited source. The source gives a transliterated Chinese name translated as white-barked pine rather than lace-barked pine. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 15:32, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
