Deletion[edit]

No reason for deletion. She's not "notable" right now, true, but her debut "Mama Do" is garnering HEAVY rotation on urban stations in the UK and is playlisted on the Galaxy network (which includes London's biggest urban station Kiss 100). The accompanying videoclip was added to Youtube two days ago. A big hit in the making. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.121.151.142 (talk) 05:48, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A number1 UK single now passes WP:Notability. Issue closed. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 21:10, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just for the record, Kiss 100 is part of the Kiss Network, nothing to do with the Galaxy Network. But Mama Do was played on both radio networks anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.202.108 (talk) 01:39, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

First British female to No.1[edit]

That UK Charts Company 'fact', reproduced in the BBC article, simply isn't true. What about Billie Piper? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.146.153.64 (talk) 08:30, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - I added it from that BBC ref, and well spotted on Billie Piper - Thanx! Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 21:10, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge from Discography article[edit]

There does not seem to be sufficient information for a separate article. Why not merge? Edgepedia (talk) 21:10, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge - absolutely. I commented at Talk:Pixie Lott discography earlier. There is not nearly enough releases by this artist to justify a separate discography page. - eo (talk) 12:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a merge per the silence above and per WP:WikiProject_Musicians/Article_guidelines#Discography section "Musicians that have released a significant amount of work should be given their own discography articles". Edgepedia (talk) 12:50, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Discovery[edit]

I believe she was actually discovered singing in a cafe, it was in an edition of my local paper (Essex Chronicle) a few months ago just before Mama Do was released. Does anyone know anymore about this so it could be added —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.158.196.4 (talk) 18:17, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki pics[edit]

I have notice several times that Wikipedea seems to always use the least good looking picture for all it can, luckilly, although it has happened here, it is not a problem as Pixie is always gorgeous. Actually, I'm tempted to remove all the one of TV appearances and things. They're not notable appearances, and if her career lastes ten years, imagine how long that list is going to be! Any thoughts? HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 22:49, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe there could be a special page or something becaus I agree this is just rediculous how you can have it all on this page :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.200.178.218 (talk) 18:04, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Irish descent?[edit]

This page is in the category 'English people of Irish descent'. Where is the proof she is of Irish origin? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.139.239.167 (talk) 03:35, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removed. If anybody has good sources that say she has Irish ancestry, they can re-add with cited backup in the article. Fat&Happy (talk) 16:19, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope I believe shes English fully, everyone is trying to claim her, someone's saying she partially Bosnian, or Italian, all nonsense if you ask me, she my aswell represent miss earth86.135.58.219 (talk) 23:26, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Main pic[edit]

She looks good in the main pic of the article, but I like the unintentional product placement for Vitamin Water there... :) 68.123.158.70 (talk) 17:38, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Turn It Up or Turn It Up Louder[edit]

I'm just wondering, when Pixie Lott releases 'Turn It Up Louder' will it get a completely new page like Lady Gaga did with, The Fame Monster, as Pixie is going to release it in America as a completely new album. --SitDownOnIt (talk) 20:05, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New single and album[edit]

Pixie coming with a new single and album, can anyone uptade the article?

"Her new single, 'All About Tonight,' is set to be premiered next week, and her second album, also called 'All About Tonight,' will be released later this year".(and confirmed via songwritter twitter).

The introductory paragraph states that the new single came in at 'number on Sept 11th 2011' - should this not read 'number one on (11 September 2011)'??

Tebey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tebey) is the songwriter. Brian Kidd the producer.

Her new single all about tonight was released on the 4th of september and made its way quickly to number one on itunes charts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.156.73.14 (talk) 18:47, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Second single (name, producers and feat!). More tracks titles.[edit]

And I always think songs do come out better when you work with people who you’ve worked well with before. Me and Phil and Mads make a great team,” she adds, highlighting the trio’s writing on Kiss The Stars, the electro-tinged belter that’s scheduled to be the second single from the as-yet-untitled album. “We wrote that one pretty quickly: we had the main idea one day and then the next day we finished it.” in: http://www.facebook.com/pixielott?sk=wall#!/pixielott?sk=info

Pixie is flying to L.A next week to shoot her next single featuring rapper Pusha T who she is very excited to be meeting and working with. This second album has some Pop tracks but also has Pixie delving into her more soulful side

she talks about in a webchat too.

release in US[edit]

Pixie added: “I’m focusing on music so much at the moment that when auditions come up, she knows there’s no point even putting me forward.”

But the Boys and Girls across the pond will still get their Pixie fix as she’s planning to try to follow Adele and crack the US charts. And after getting Stevie Wonder on a track for her second album, due out in November, a Lott could happen. She let slip: “We’re taking the best songs from my two albums and releasing a record over in America. I did a gig for the international reps from my record label the other day too.”

"often" credited?[edit]

"Lott is often credited for her live performances and style."

What is this supposed to mean? That at other times someone else is credited for her live performances and style?

It's not obvious how this bland statement means anything significant, or why someone included it. It could be said of any other performer with as little meaning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.177.104.152 (talk) 20:51, 29 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

GCSEs[edit]

The source used for the part stating she got straight As in GCSEs is just a quote from Pixie Lott. Surely she can't be the source for her own article? I'm not saying I think she's lying, just that it should maybe be rephrased to show that it is only her that we have got this info from.

Orphaned references in Pixie Lott[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Pixie Lott's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "irishchart":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:20, 6 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
