Today, I added the section Provenance and exhibition history, which gives the history of the painting's original ownership, it's theft by the soviet union, and the first exhibition that it was shown in. I am also planning to add two more sections "soon". The second section will explain why many art historians believe that Edgar Degas was influenced by photography in his composition, as well some counter arguments that have been given to this interpretation. The first section will give some background information on the painting, including Degas's relationship with Lepic and other details within the painting.
