I think you are refering to Samual Plate of North Wales. In 1465 he ran across an issue with wanting to eat something but not liking the shape of a bowl. Thus, the flat bowl, or 'plate' was invented. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.162.206.5 (talk) 22:21, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article needs to include the name of the inventor of the plate. Who is credited with this? i think this article needs to include the prices to help people to find information.

plate cover?[edit]

Do we have any information on this: http://images.overstock.com/f/102/3117/8h/www.overstock.com/images/products/L11460277.jpg ?
