Merger[edit]
I have prosed a merger with List of PlayStation 3 Trophies with this page being kept and the table from the new page being moved back here. I can see no reason why they should be seperate pages, the information on each page is related (obviously) and there is no issue with the size of the page. And PlayStation 3 Trophies has now become a stub. I thought I'd better write something here instead of going ahead and doing it as it was only changed recently. Please discuss below. - What would probably work best would be to merge this article into PlayStation Network and move the other article to List of PlayStation 3 games that support trophies or something similar. Merging this article into PlayStation Network would also fit the standard set by Gamerscore and Xbox Achievement system redirecting to a section in Xbox Live. What do you think? - Thingg's plan sounds good to me. I'd say merging List of PlayStation 3 Trophies into any article will be problematic with regard to size later on as it will begin to grow rather quickly as Sony has mandated that after some point, all games will be required to include trophy support, causing it to dominate whatever article it's merged with. - Well its a list that could become staggeringly long - look at the ps3 games list, 100kb, there will be a time every game supports trophies - gamerscore is mandatory on the xbox 360 after all. - What we would do is after whatever mandatory date Sony sets, we will either delete the list or redo it as "List of PlayStation 3 games that do not support Trophies." Either way, it is very doubtable imo that the will ever be enough info on Trophies to warrant a seperate article as even Xbox Live achievements, which is far older and better known, doesn't have a seperate article. - That would be an insanely long list too. I have started a discussion on the list of ps3 games article, regarding the publisher column, I personally believe its a total waste of space due to regional variations, it could be put to better use, such as a column for trophy support, which beats having another page with a list of games. it could also house an 'initial release' column, which would see rid of the chrono list. chocobogamer LOOK AT WHAT I DID 10:45, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good idea (Wow am I not thinking....). So how about this just to summarize: We remove the seperate List of PlayStation 3 Trophies and merge the info into List of PlayStation 3 games and merge the info in PlayStation 3 Trophies into PlayStation Network.
