More things to add

[edit]

Pleating is not only used in fashion / clothing industry but also in; Awning, insect screen, (air) filters, partition walls.

I'm owner from a company in the Netherlands and we have some pleating machines.

I will add more information (pictures) about it soon.

Or maybe you can do it when I send you the information.

You can also get some information on our website [1] or contact me for information.

Best regards

I would point out (In reference to the Pleats in Trousers section) that some of the best suit manufacturers (at least in the USA) produce suits with Pleats. Pleated trousers remain standard business wear, and the statement "Bargain and Affordable stores push Pleats" is biased.

I have removed the link you added, as WikiPedia policy does not allow commercial links. But encyclopedic information on commercial pleating machines would be welcome. - PKM 03:58, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality

[edit]

I have removed this unencyclopedic text and the neutrality tag it (quite rightly) triggered:

After the 90s, modern couture gave pleats a "dated" profile while at the same time explained that pleated pants make the wearer appear much heavier, hence many stores which cater for young people and fashionistas avoid pleats at all costs. Bargain or affordable stores which cater to older or crowds stuck in other decades encourage them. If in doubt, use the golden rule of clothing: "Pleats are only fashionable in drapes and curtains."

and

"If God wanted pockets on the sides of our legs, or any other part of our bodies, He wouldn't have made Kangaroos and Koalas to prove His point".

and restored some blanking which may be inadvertant, I can't tell. - PKM 03:29, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
