Colo(u)r of the jersey[edit]

"The ranking points system was introduced in 1966, when there was associated with a mesh, while for the two editions was awarded a red jersey. Since the 1969 was introduced the cyclamen jersey."

I do not understand this. What was the colo(u)r in 1966, 1967 and 1968? --EdgeNavidad (talk) 07:15, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This seems to have been a bad machine translation from the Italian Wikipedia article. The mystifying "mesh" was a mistranslation of maglia. The essence of the Italian article seems to be that there was no jersey in 1966, and a red one in 1967 and 1968. However, the following sentence claims the maglia cyclamino was introduced in 1969, contradicting the introductory paragraph above. --rbrwr± 17:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

Azzurri d'Italia classification is simply not notable enough for its own article. Yes, it passes RS and all that, but it is an extremely minor award that is extremely similar to this one. I'd rather just delete it, but it'd fit here. Alex finds herself awake at night (Talk · What keeps her up) 06:47, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
