Cleanup

I noticed the "Storyline" section looked like a complete mess, so I'm gonna go ahead and clean it up so it makes sense to both people who have not played the game - and to people who HAVE played the game. MasterXiam 16:46, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Okay, finished. It's a lot smaller than it was before, and may need some more cleanup (and maybe expansion), but at least it looks like it was written by someone over the age of 10. MasterXiam 16:59, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Zapdos?

Just Wondering Is Zapdos In This Game He Is The Best Pokemon Of All (In My Opinion).

                          Charoog10 ~ October 23 2005
Zapdos is in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, as well as FireRed and LeafGreen. But not here, sorry. MasterXiam 16:46, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Pokémon

What are all the Pokemon on Pokemon Collesum? --208.188.175.210 15:53, 7 Oct 2004 (UTC)Raikou

I have added a section listing all of them, including instructions on how to get Ho-oh, and pokémon available in the game through outside means - Sonic Mew.

Locations

Isn't this already covered in Orre? Sonic Mew 14:16, Jun 1, 2005 (UTC)

Names

How do we know the characters' names are Wes and Rui? The booklet just says, "Partner". I forgot the other character's name in the booklet. --anon—Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.118.81.169 (talkcontribs) 08:12, March 20, 2006

It’s the default name when you are asked to pick a name for her. -- WikidSmaht (talk) 17:23, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
It's never exactly implied much, but just like with every other Pokémon game, the characters have default names. They're not what I named them (as you don't HAVE to name them that), but they are commonly understood to be their names. MasterXiam 16:46, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Criticism Section

I honestly don't think it's a good idea to have a Criticism section. It's pointless and is irrelevant to the game in the most part.

Wes and Rui

Do you think they have some kind of relationship? Because when Rui finds out that Wes is from team Sagem, she didn't care and called him a gallent prince or something. And when you purified all of shadow Pokemon instead of going home, she just keeps following him.

Messed up edits.

Bless whoever had the kindness to edit this by providing more plot and character information but there's so much rambling, theories and contradictions that it really does read like garbage. I've tried to fix some minor typos but this article needs a re-work.

Nascour

I propose that the content of this article should be cleaned up and merged here.--NHSavage 18:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

The Mangas

I am confused, how could the manga exist if they were never printed? --189.153.91.205 18:31, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Shadow Pokemon

Removed dead link on Shadow Pokemon. If anyone can put a section about it on a seperate page (List of pokemon, or something) then you should put the link back in.

"All 386 Pokemon"

Third Paragraph:

It features all 386 known Pokémon as of the third generation. The game features a first for the Pokémon series, a true 3D role-playing game mode that allows the player to capture Pokémon that cannot be captured in the Ruby/Saphire/Emerald game generation, allowing them to eventually be transferred into said games. This includes Legendary Pokémon such as Ho-Oh, Entei, Raikou and Suicune. It also adds a new Pokémon status, Shadow Pokémon, in which this game's plot revolves around. These Pokémon can't be traded to any game until they lose their Shadow status, and are effectively forbidden from use outside the Story mode until purified.

That's not true. It features many (all)GSC Pokemon, but it definitely doesn't cover RBY Pokemon. And, for that matter, XD doesn't cover all of RBY Pokemon (or all of GSC).--99.228.5.128 (talk) 01:51, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

THE DEEP

Nobody mentioned Deep Colosseum and its small bit of importance in the storyline? Why? Apparently not enough people have gotten to this (in my opinion) awesome part of the game. It has the Cipher Admins in it, plus the 2nd-to-last Shadow (a Shuckle). It should at least have 1, and at most, 2 sentences devoted to its part in the post-Evice storyline. Try to incorporate it if you can; I may be quite elaborate at words, but I just can't think of anything to say here.

P.S.-- What is the level range of Pokemon there? The guide says 80, but it has mistakes in it elsewhere, and Serebii says 60, but it has errors too. Clarification if you can. 2D Backfire Master (talk) 21:02, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Kinda Dumb-Sounding Statement

Explain this:

While it is the first 3D Pokémon video game with an RPG mode, it does not allow the player to use rental Pokémon the way the Pokémon Stadium games did. This was probably done because Pokémon are obtainable in the RPG mode, thus most of the features in the game are still usable without a Game Boy Advance Pokémon game or rentals.

It gets a point across, but it is too iffy-sounding, and sort of "Oh, NOW I get it"-sounding as well. Someone writing a page intro shouldn't say probably, so this needs reworking to sound professional. 2D Backfire Master (talk) 21:06, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

GA Review

This review is transcluded from Talk:Pokémon Colosseum/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Reviewer: 12george1 (talk) 03:26, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

  • As a former player of this game, I decided to review its article. I know exactly what appends in this game, however, there are several unsourced statements which people that haven't played the game might tag it with {{Citation needed}}. You might want to find a game guide or check on video game website. Those unsourced statements are:
    • "Wes then confronts one of the grunts, which results in the latter's defeat. Finding out that he is an expert at snagging Pokémon, Rui asks him to join forces with her in finding and snagging Shadow Pokémon."
    • "As the game progresses, Wes becomes a target of a powerful organization known as Cipher. After leaving Phenac, he visits Pyrite Town, where Rui was kidnapped. In Pyrite, Shadow Pokémon are openly offered to winners of the town's Colosseum tournament. The local police force is powerless to stop the practice, so Duking, an influential man in Pyrite, asks Wes to enter the tournament and investigate. Wes enters the Colosseum challenge and defeats four trainers to win. Inside a nearby building, a Cipher Peon is about to present the Shadow Pokémon prize, but a friend recognizes Rui. The pair then battle their way through the building and a maze-like cave set in the rock behind. Eventually, they face and defeat Miror B., one of four Cipher Admins. Afterwards, Wes returns a Pokémon Miror B. stole from Duking. A team of kids working in Duking's house introduce themselves as members of an anti-Cipher news network, known as the Kids Grid, who pledge their help to Wes and Rui."
    • "Their next stop is Agate Village, a forested village in the mountains. As Rui introduces Wes to her grandfather Eagun, another villager runs into the room, telling them that the Relic Stone—a shrine protected by Celebi—is under attack. Wes, following Eagun to the center of the tree, fights off four Cipher agents before the Relic Stone is safe. After resting, Wes is given access to the Relic Stone, the only place where he can purify Shadow Pokémon. On a suggestion from Eagun, Wes decides to train his skills at the nearby Mt. Battle."
    • "More members of the Kids Grid are here. They tell the player of Venus, another Cipher administration, who has influence over The Under. After Wes confronts Venus, the owner of the second legendary dog Suicune, she flees. Next, Wes and Rui head to the Shadow Pokémon Lab, where Pokémon are transformed into Shadow Pokémon. After defeating numerous Cipher peons, Wes faces Ein, the final Cipher administrator and the owner of the final legendary dog Raikou."
    • "Wes and Rui then go to Realgam Tower. All four administrators are there and ready to face Wes again. After doing so, he is granted access to the Colosseum at the top of the building. There, he is greeted by a large crowd. A Cipher man named Nascour tells Wes that he will have to face four trainers. After Wes defeats all four trainers, Nascour fights him. Once defeated, Nascour tries to leave, only to be interrupted by Es Cade. Es Cade reveals that he is really none other than Evice, the head of Cipher, and battles Wes. When Wes defeats him, Evice attempts to escape by helicopter, but the legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh swoops in and blasts it out of the sky. Evice and Nascour are presumably arrested."
    • I will try to source these as soon as possible, but so far I've just been doing it with game quotes. Tezero (talk) 03:41, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
  • "and May 14 in Europe." - Add the year on the end of May 14 (2004).
  • You should explain more on what a "Colosseum" is (preferably as early as possible, like in the Gameplay section), because some might confused it with the Colosseum.
  • The wikilinking is odd throughout the article, like several words are linked several times throughout the article, such as: Nintendo, Pokémon, Nintendo GameCube, Genius Sonority, single-player, multiplayer, and player. So delinked these words except for their first use in the article.
    • I don't see any of those being linked more than once in the infobox, once in the intro, and once in the body, if even that much. That's considered to be the acceptable level for linking. Tezero (talk) 03:41, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
  • Note: I don't think Plot items are necessary to be sourced, because it is automaticly assumed that they are being sourced by the game. At FA-level quotes could be included, but I don't think they are required for GA level. But if the "plot items" go into detail like "blank did this because of what happened before", it could be WP:OR, and needs a source. Straight forward things are fine though. Blake (Talk·Edits) 13:36, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
With that being said and done, I will pass this article. Congratulations,--12george1 (talk) 16:47, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
