Bravo!

I congratulate whoever updated the article to its present state. I've tried getting it this good for ages. Well done! *throws confetti in the air* --Evilgidgit 10:36, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

I'm glad you like it, although the article still needs quite a bit of work. Guermantes 17:16, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

Hoax?

Once, this site said that you could unlock a Mewtwo course by getting 10000 points for the Mew picture. Is this true?

No.

Critical Reception Section

This section contains a lot of opinion and conjecture of questionable value from sources, while existent, that lack authority beyond personal opinion. Citing personal opinion from questionable authority is almost as bad as writing it in. The response section is already the longest section by far. The quote about Nintendo not liking money is a good example. What does this add? Why do I care what this random person says in this case? This isn't about the critical reception of the existing product, and if someone wants to add speculation about the future of the franchise that belongs in a different section with more authoritative sources. Maybe it's just a video game, but I think this section needs to be more rigorous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.38.244.51 (talk) 05:45, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Lists

Since only 63 of the Pokemon from the first generation are in this game, would it be appropriate to include a list of those that appear? Also, how about lists for the seven courses and the Pokemon Signs, as well? Leprechaun Gamer 22:18, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Lists are usually unimportant and unencyclopeidc. The specific levels and Pokemon are pretty worthless in an encyclopedic view. Nemu 22:27, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
If it can be expressed succinctly and it enhances the breadth and depth of knowledge about the game (i.e. "how do we make the article more comprehensive without making it look silly"), then that's what I would call 'encyclopedic'. The levels can be listed in 1 sentence. The pokemon can be listed in about 3 lines. I personally don't find the article in its current state to be particularly informative or comprehensive. It's very light on detail. alexpenev 18:48, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, I thought that a list of the courses would give the reader an idea of what the island looks like. However, if someone has a picture of the island (including Rainbow Cloud), they could just put that in.Leprechaun Gamer 20:40, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

A list would drastically lower thequality of this article. Philbuck222 (talk) 11:37, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Illigitimate EGN Review?

I looked for the EGN review of Pokemon Snap but all I could find is the user ratings perhaps that part should be removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurowoofwoof111 (talkcontribs) 04:32, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Virtual Console version

Do you control the cursor with the wiimote (awesome) or the analog stick? (not so awesome, but more like the n64 game)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 23:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Stick. 12.198.76.7 (talk) 03:12, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
They need to make a Pokemon Snap 2 with new pokemon and a new island, and you use the Wiimote to aim and take pictures. Maybe something like Link's Crossbow training, if you have ever played that.--Blake (talk) 19:06, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Warner Bros. Movie World ride

After reading the last sentence of the "Marketing" section, I was dubious. I added a citation needed and did some google research. I can find no evidence of any such ride. Should this just be removed from the article? I didn't delete it because I want so badly for such a ride to have existed. MXMissles (talk) 22:15, 28 December 2009 (UTC)

    • That's no reason not to revert, as per WP:DONTBEAPUSSY, so go ahead 98.229.88.151 (talk) 00:12, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
      • Such a ride did indeed exist, however it was only available for a very short time. The ride's previous location, if I'm not mistaken, currently contains the AVPX ride.

Famitsu score error

I have a copy of Famitsu magazine that shows scores of 9, 8, 9, and 7. By my count, 9+8+9+7=33, not 34 as reported by IGN. The magazine I have is an anniversary collection of many reviews reprinted in 2006 and so I suppose there may have been an error on Famitsu's part in transferring the numbers from the 1999 review to their 2006 anniversary issue, but then again it could just as easily be IGN's error. I guess finding an actual 1999 copy of Famitsu would be the way to solve this question, but I thought I should bring it up here before making any changes. What do people here think should be done? -Thibbs (talk) 04:01, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Per this discussion, I've gone ahead and exchanged the IGN-reported score for the one from Famitsu. To what extent this places the IGN source (currently refnamed "famitsu") in question is not something I'm prepared to address at the moment, but it might be worth digging into if anyone cares. -Thibbs (talk) 14:20, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Theme park

There was a temporary snap-themed attraction in I think Australia. It was covered in an old pojo issue.
