seeming contradiction[edit]

In the infobox, it says: "Autocephaly recognised in 1924 by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, and in 1948 by the Russian Orthodox Church." But in the text of the article, it says "The loss of ecclesiastical link due to the persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Soviet Union, left the regional clergy in a crisis moment, and in 1924, the Ecumenical Patriarchate took over establishing several autonomous churches on territories of the new states that were formerly wholly or partially part of the Russian Empire ... In 1948 under pressure from the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ecumenical Patriarchate granted the POC autocephalous status." Which is correct? --Jfruh (talk) 01:24, 30 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

why name in Russian?[edit]

no reason to have the name of the Church in Russian. Why not Ukrainian or Belorusian? or Greek?--142.163.195.242 (talk) 00:45, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

PAOC[edit]

What is the PAOC? It just appears without explanation. --142.163.195.242 (talk) 00:48, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I see. It is implied in the first sentence. Perhaps (PAOC) could be put after the name. --142.163.195.33 (talk) 21:43, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
