US flags.

[edit]

Regarding US flags, there is one section - - -

Flag desecration
During a rally in June 2020, President Trump told supporters that he thinks flag burning should be punishable by one year in prison.

1) Does Trump express any thoughts on the Supreme Court's previous decision that flag-burning is an expression of free speech in Texas v. Johnson (1989)?

2) Does Trump express any thoughts on the way his followers have altered American flags by applying his image, political slogans, etc. in violation of 4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag :

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. - Cornell Law School: "U.S. Code: Title 4" [1]

Needs updating, trimming

[edit]

A lot of this should be replaced with more recent info. One example early in the article:

"Although Trump was the Republican nominee, he has signaled that the official party platform, adopted at the 2016 Republican National Convention, diverges from his own views.[13] According to a The Washington Post tally, Trump made some 282 campaign promises over the course of his 2016 campaign.[14]"

Also, the birtherism section isn't a political position, and we don't need to copy everything from other articles about Trump.

The section on disabilities doesn't say anything.

This page needs a lot of trimming but people get upset when you delete stuff.

Trump, Trumpism, presidency, 2024 campaign, RNC, Project 2025, Agenda 47. So much duplication! Seananony (talk) 02:57, 6 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
