RE: 2nd Paragraph in "English as an official language" Section

As this was a one sentence paragraph I connected that sentence to the preceding paragraph. When doing so I removed the sentence about the official language controversy continues to exist. My suggestion is that someone write a separate paragraph about how the language issue is playing out today. Also, the sentence looked a bit muddled to me. I have attempted to make the sentence clearer by changing and to even if before the last clause ...the United States required... I don't have access to the cited documents, so I don't know whether or not I'm misrepresenting the exact wording of the 1993 survey, but I believe that using even if makes the sentence clearer. If anyone finds my changes objectionable, please accept my apologies. Thanks. Drdpw (talk) 16:45, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
