Nduktbbiubkjfduihguigdh == Hgfthhhhgfd The government section of the "Outline of Guyana" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Please check that this country's outline is not in error.

Role of Prime Minister[edit]

What is his/her role, given that the President is both head of state and government? ZFT (talk) 03:17, 10 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

He or she is the leader of Government business in Parliament, who can also be described as the most senior minister. Prime Minister and the rest of the cabinet, however, are not subject to parliamentary confidence, neither there is a mechanism to remove the president, which makes Guyana being much like Switzerland, an assembly-independent system, somewhat similar to a directorial republic. --B.Lameira (talk) 16:04, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiability[edit]

This is ridiculous - the article makes a hundred different claims yet only has 3 inline citations!? In an article about politics no less! I will myself endeavor to look for sources for this article and will start to remove uncited content without prejudice.
