Memorial Drive?[edit]

Uhm... That looks like Memorial Drive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.60.72.195 (talk) 20:28, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Which picture are you talking about? Anyway I'm very familiar with the pics as I added most of them, and they are all for sure Ponce.Keizers (talk) 17:15, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I also didn't see anything that looked like Memorial. Keizers, thanks for all the pics! Have you ever tried to use {{Auto images}}? I liked using it a lot over at DVT#Imaging. Best. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 17:36, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Biosthmors thanks for the tip, didn't know about {{Auto images}}! Keizers (talk) 19:41, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome Keizers. At first glance it looks intimidating, but there really is something auto about it, I forget what, that makes it not so hard to use. Best! Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 19:48, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Kroger material[edit]

The material in the Kroger section was merged to this article due to an AfD discussion. As the admin who closed that AfD, I'm comfortable saying that the consensus in that discussion was that the Kroger material was not sufficiently notable/verifiable for its own article. Please do not split off the Kroger material into a separate article without substantial improvements (e.g. additional sourcing), as any such resulting article would be subject to immediate deletion (CSD G4). If you (generically) feel that the material does not belong in this article, please discuss it here, and if consensus allows, delete the text from the article -- but do not split it off again as-is. Thanks. —Darkwind (talk) 23:35, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree it's not suitable for an independent article. But it doesn't belong here either. Paragraphs about a store where there was a robbery, shooting, and dead body found? What does that have to do with this street? Candleabracadabra (talk) 23:42, 27 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I suppose you might also argue $1.5 million dollar investments along Ponce aren't worthy of a mention either, given that you removed that material as well. Please see WP:PRESERVE, which redirects to our page on editing policy. It's quite odd to split an article off, then subsequently argue in outright contradiction of Wikipedia:Places of local interest that it doesn't belong at the parent article. These two positions are in direct opposition to one another. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 00:14, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It certainly doesn't belong here. It doesn't surprise me that it was deleted elsewhere. But just because something isn't notable on its own doesn't mean you can stick it somewhere else. What does that content have to do with this street? If you want to mention the store and a possible upgrade if you have a source that might be okay, but every incident that took place at the store? Weird. Are you serious? You really think it belongs here in the article about this street? Have you checked to see if there's a 7-11 on the street so we can report on whatver shoplifting incidents may have taken place? Candleabracadabra (talk) 03:12, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd love to include that material if you can find mentions in the press that this 7-11 is "one of the city's quirky charms that Atlantans seem to both love and hate at the same time". Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 06:47, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This redevelopment project "Jamestown Properties is wrapping up a deal to re-imagine City Hall East as a major mixed-use development over the coming years. Crews are expected — once some paperwork and negotiations with adjacent property owners is complete — to break ground on a 2.5-mile bike trail that would snake past the retro grocery store. What's more, city officials hope the state, metro Atlanta elected officials and voters think a transit segment along that part of the Beltline deserves funding from a one-cent sales tax voters will decide next summer." is worth noting. 14:40, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
I agree that that project is a big deal for the street that deserves more coverage. I doubt you wre suggesting the wording itsef, as it is wp:promotional and time-dependent. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 16:42, 28 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
