Ponce de León InletPonce de Leon Inlet – None of the article's sources or external links uses a diacritic. —  AjaxSmack  01:48, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. I get 8 (7 relevant) post-1990 English-language Google Book results with the diacritic, 879 (288 deghosted) without. See also GeoNames. Kauffner (talk) 05:55, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, not simply on the basis of Google Books, since even if the Inlet did have the diacritic the majority wouldn't necessarily show them. But on the basis of Google Books crosschecked with local language sources, which in this case happens to be Florida English. www.ponce-inlet.org (as a separate note, it's a shame the article doesn't indicate the origin of the name). • Support. I moved the title to include the diacritic right after I created the article (5 years ago), with an edit summary of "Per use of diacritic for official name by USCG". However, I included a link to the USGS Geographic Names Information System, not the USCG. That link doesn't work, but the GNIS currently shows that the official name does not have a diacritic, while the name with a diacritic is listed as an alternative. -- Donald Albury 11:07, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support -- I dount the Florida legislature put a diacritical on, when they renamed it. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:26, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
