Ride System[edit]

-The ride system at Aquatopia is slightly different. It uses a system of antennas to triangulate their position (the spinning disc on top of the car)Nomadwiki (talk) 03:25, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The ride navigation system on Pooh's Hunny Hunt is not based in the technology in the patents referenced - any references to them is speculative and they should be deleted.

Ride-through[edit]

I am not really liking the way the Ride-through section is written. This section is containing more info than what we have described on the main attractions page (there is a slight bit of info here on the queue which we have not described that page) and also there is some info that I don't think should be here:

"He knocks a ladder over, which sets off dynamite, blowing Gopher out of his hole. Rabbit is seen clinging to a clothes line, trying not to be blown away by the wind. Roo tries to fly on his scarf while Kanga holds on. Pooh floats down again near Eeyore and knocks over the main stick holding up Eeyore's house, causing it to collapse. Owl's treehouse stands in the middle of room, swaying in the wind. Piglet holds on to the ladder for dear life while Owl rocks in his chair on the porch, talking about his relatives."

I am not sure why all this has to be described but, like a plot section, a Ride-through section does not need to have EVERY detail. Perhaps we could try and clean some of this up. trainfan01 —Preceding undated comment added 01:42, 3 June 2010 (UTC).[reply]

EDIT 3/4/19: There seems to be someone who keeps changing the ride-through to have an extra few scenes that aren't in the actual ride. It claims that after the Heffalump scene and the tunnel exiting it, there is a scene based on the Rainy Day with a log flume portion and waterfall drop (which makes no sense since the ride vehicles are trackless and would likely be ruined in water, not to mention they'd drag water through all the other scenes every cycle). Check out this YouTube video of the ride from 2018 (paste this into youtube) Jutlluyvin4?t=171 --- there is no Rainy Day scene and there never has been. I don't know what kind of person would care so much to spend literal years (look at the edit history) to keep changing this to their headcanon. Same goes for on the Disney Wiki too, they keep changing it. Whoever you are, just stop. You're ruining the good name of Wikipedia by trying to make your fictional facts reality.

US Patent 7,739,006[edit]

The patent number identified by this article cannot be correct. The patent was filed Jun 25, 2007. This would be considerably after the 1-year grace period (See Novelty (patent)) so that would be a bar to patentability as the invention was made known to the public in September of 2000.173.58.199.176 (talk) 06:43, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - US2008/0189003 is for a autonomous navigation system, but the submission and filing dates, even considering the provisional application filed on Feb 7, 2007 cannot be related to the navigation system used on PHH at TDL, which opened on Sept 4, 2000. In addition, the Inventor, Jeremy Guillula was an intern at Disney over the summer in 2006, when, according to his LinkedIn Profile he built a small autonomous robot. The patent reference is erroneous and should also throw the explanation of the operation of the ride system into question. DWmFrancis (talk) 23:12, 6 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Questions About the Article[edit]

Is it important to include the date that this occurred to give more context? "Due to a closure of all of the Skyways at Disney Parks across the world, including Tokyo, a space was left where the Fantasyland Skyway station once stood." Mbraile (talk) 19:47, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
