Antichrist?

In the Smalcald articles, protestant leader Martin Luther declared that "the Pope is the very antichrist." Luther died in 1546. I suppose that means we're all safe, since Paul III (who reigned at the time Luther wrote this) has been dead for 462 years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.23.86.169 (talk • contribs)

Am I the only one that thinks this page needs to be cleaned up a bit? Like separating the various parts of life and all...--Elsan 20:55, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

There are also several grammar issues that need fixing. I'm not sure about all of them being wrong but some things are worded awkwardly and confused me.

Re-write needed

This article is obviously cut and paste from an early 20-th century source. If anyone wants to take it up, a very good article could be created from more modern sources. PiCo 02:57, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Rather than replacing 20th-century sources influenced by 20th-century interests by 21st-century sources influenced by 21st century interests, why not quote somewhere the whole (translated) contents of the original bill, like some European wikipedias (for instance fr:Veritas ipsa) already do ? Latin original citation needed

"The right of inhabitants of Rome to publicly buy and sell slaves of both sexes was affirmed"

One can wonder if this quoted opinion is founded, because all acts were in latin and the very same word servus means in latin servant as well as slave, so it seems unclear. Of course, the transfer of a good servant would be negociated, just as the transfer of a good football player nowadays : any good contract, even nowadays, has its escape clauses. 82.226.27.88 (talk) 15:22, 21 October 2012 (UTC)
