I propose merging Port Adelaide Football Club (AFL Women's) into Port Adelaide Football Club.

Every other AFLW team on Wikipedia has their page as a women's team section on the club's page, PAFC is the only one with a separate page, it's part of the same club. MGR9883 (talk) 07:14, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose That's not actually true. West Coast Eagles (AFL Women's) is a separate page from West Coast Eagles. Same with Hawthorn Football Club (AFL Women's) and St Kilda Football Club (AFL Women's). Port Adelaide Football Club is already really long and I don't think it should be made even longer by merging these two articles. You haven't actually given a real reason to merge anyway. Oppose - the women's team is definitely noteworthy enough to have its own article, if this one was only a single-line stub then it'd make some sense, but that's clearly not the case. If the only reason we're discussing it is for conformity with the rest of the league then if anything I think we should get to work on setting up the other 14ish pages. It seems to be fairly standard practice amongst other sports where one club operates both a men's and women's team, see e.g., Brighton & Hove Albion W.F.C., Adelaide United FC (A-League Women), Victoria women's cricket team, Sydney Roosters Women. There's no lack of notability, plenty of coverage of the women's team specifically from reliable sources, and more than enough to discuss to deserve a full article rather than being stuck as a single section a dozen pages down in a parent article that's already 250kB long. Oppose - The Port Adelaide Football Club (AFL Women's) article is well-thought-out and referenced, with enough notability on its own.
