For comparison, you may want to look at Plano Senior High School, which is a featured article.
- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- a) Prose. It's a little listy in places, but this is a pass.
- b) MOS.
- The lists themselves are a problem; see WP:EMBED. I think the two football players could be handled by a prose paragraph, since their notability is so similar. Adding the baseball player to that paragraph should be easy, since that's also sports. The sexual battery charge probably warrants a paragraph of its own; and I would suggest just cutting the teacher -- best teacher in the county is probably not enough for Wikipedia notability. This is not necessary for GA but would, I think, improve the article.
The lead (see WP:LEAD) doesn't mention the notable alumni/staff. A brief sentence would suffice.- This issue has been addressed. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:55, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- But now there's a reference to an additional firing that is not mentioned in the body. If you can source it, I'd suggest adding something about this to the body; otherwise cut it from the lead. Mike Christie (talk) 03:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

There are a couple of places where you need to add "as of 2008": look through for places where the prose would not make sense in 2010, or 2050, and make sure that you either give the comment a date for context, or rephrase it. For example, the bands "have consistently ranked among the top bands in the state of Florida for several years" needs to be dealt with.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- a) references
-
There is one {{citation needed}} tag that needs to be cleaned up.
- b) Reliable sources.
-
There is one citation to Wikipedia; this is not permissible as Wikipedia is not itself a reliable source. The same goes for the Wikinews cite.- I'm not seeing any citations to Wikipedia itself. Which one are you talking about? GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:55, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's footnote 6 in the current version; it links to the article Charlotte High School (Punta Gorda, Florida). I was mistaken about the Wikinews cite; I misread the "WINKnews" cite. Mike Christie (talk) 03:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

The greatschools.net website isn't clear to me -- can you tell if this is a for-profit, or non-profit, or what? What makes it a reliable website to cite here?- Well, the data at schoolgrades backs the information in the article that are cited by greatschools; note that both references are used in different parts of the article for similar purposes. The addition of greatschools as a reference just adds another testimony to the idea. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:55, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to strike this on good faith; the schoolgrades site is down right now with a syntax error in their code, so I can't verify it, but it seems reasonable. Mike Christie (talk) 03:49, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

- c) No original research.

- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- a) Major aspects: Pass. Take a look at Plano Senior High School for an example of thorough coverage of history; admittedly this school has far less history to cover, but if you would like to go on to FA I think it would be good to try to find the sort of sources the Plano article cites.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- Yeah, I'd like to find some better sources, but our school's website doesn't seem to give as much information about the history of the school as PSHS's website does, and many of the reporters for the local media are biased; most of them that have any interest in a CCPS school are CHS tarpon alumni (which sucks royally). - a) Tagged and fair use.

The small pirate image in the infobox is tagged as problematic; can you clean up the image tag please?
- a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
- This has been fixed.
- The certificate has the name incompletely erased; it was easy to make it out. I would suggest you either leave the name in, with permission from the owner of the certificate, or else delete it more thoroughly. Either way this is not a GA requirement, just a suggestion.
- The name is my own name. I'll fix the problem if possible. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:24, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

- Unfortunately the infobox image is a bit blurry; I won't fail GA for that, but surely a better picture is possible.
The caption is also a problem; it makes sense to those who know the slogan, but not to anyone else. It needs to be blandly descriptive.

- The motto comes from a Jimmy Buffet song, but I'll need to find some references before I can write anything 'bout the school's motto in the article. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (Messages) 01:55, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
