Query on auction date[edit]

The article lists that "The latter had bought it at an auction after the beheading of Charles I of England in 1627," Charles I was executed in 1649- is the date of the auction wrong- or just that of the beheading? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.88.3.148 (talk) 10:04, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Tizian - Portrait of Federico II Gonzaga - circa 1525.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on July 3, 2015. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2015-07-03. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page.
