Untitled[edit]

I placed the POV tag when creating the article because it is pasted from a US government website. Because this comes from a US govt source it may not be neutral, but I don't have the expertise to judge. This article contradicts the Sweden-United States relations article.[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish-American_relations According to that article, Sweden was the first neutral nation to recognize America while this article claims that " Portugal was the first neutral country to recognize the United States."
