How Silly!

[edit]

As the history of dannce music did not start with disco and the term "post-disco" was not even in print until 1984 (and then not widely) - and the vast majority of people had never heard of it - this article is silly in the extreme. Trying to make out that disco is as important as Punk in inspiring a "post-" sound is pathetic. A very silly and highly biased piece of writing, seeking to imply that disco somehow invented the wheel. Music of the early-to-mid 1980s was described as hip hop, synth pop, dance, etc - or, in an era when catagorisation did not rule - simply enjoyed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.131.182.212 (talk) 14:45, 24 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rhythm and blues

[edit]

Does this genre really belong in the Rhythm and blues template? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.54.195.214 (talk) 23:14, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
