Proposed Merger[edit]

As noted in the village pound article, there is no difference between a pinfold and a village pound, and thus no reason for these articles to be separate. Axeman89 (talk) 17:40, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pounds in America[edit]

Perhaps unsurprisingly, pounds aren't solely a British phenomenon. Many towns in formerly-British New England still have surviving (though non-operational) town pounds where stray livestock were formerly impounded.
