Ownership of Snowbird Mountain Resort

[edit]

Though not listed on the wiki, Powdr corporation website lists Snowbird, UT as an owned property. https://www.powdr.com/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:100e:b1b6:72ec:e53a:58a8:c42d:e6a4 (talk) 00:34, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Outside Magazine reported in this article of May 13, 2014, that majority ownership of the Snowbird resort was purchased by "the Cumming family, owners of Powdr Corporation". It did not report complete ownership, and it reported the majority owner as the family rather than the Powdr company. — BarrelProof (talk) 00:01, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Content copied from WP:RM/TR:
Yes, but per their brand guidelines it is POWDR not Powdr. https://www.powdr.com/ Please capitalize POWDR. Kalsmn5779 (talk) 22:02, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
We do not follow individual organization's brand guidelines. We are an encyclopedia. If you want to pursue this further, please click the "discuss" link provided in your request. That will initiate a formal move request discussion. UtherSRG (talk) 01:21, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see any spelling difference. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:52, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Instead, move the article to Powdr, per WP:NCCORP. There are no other articles about "Powdr" on Wikipedia. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:13, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

John or Ian Cumming?

[edit]

The Wikipedia article says the company was founded by John Cumming in 1994. Outside Magazine reported the founder as Ian Cumming, the father of John Cumming, in this article of May 13, 2014. Which is more accurate? — BarrelProof (talk) 00:01, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The company website's "Our people" page at https://www.powdr.com/our-people supports the statement that the company was founded by John Cumming in 1994. — BarrelProof (talk) 14:38, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
