User:85.196.95.98 tagged this page as a copyright violation on certain parts. However, we are unable to ascertain which parts are a copyright violation without a link to the original site. I did a google search on the words, and found nothing but the Wikipedia entry. I am the original author of this piece, which is a result of research done by me in Tamil Nadu Archives in Chennai. Everything that is not in quotes is my own. I have given the necessary references and sources for all the quotations. Since this was written, over time, this information has been quoted in many places.
