  • ... that the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, launched during COVID-19 pandemic in India is the largest food security scheme in the world? Source: "PM Modi extends Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana till Diwali, Chhath, end of November - The Financial Express". Retrieved 2020-07-04.

  • I think there is some confusion here. The following are all currently separate articles. Even the bold text in both of your hooks link to different articles.
  1. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana
  2. Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana
  3. Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan
Please check. DTM (talk) 09:52, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @DiplomatTesterMan: for pointing out the error. Auto-correct on my iPad did the trick and even I didn't notice it. I have corrected the title now. Hope this is good. Thanks again. Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 10:03, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Yoninah:I've made some minor alterations to the hooks, hope these are more relevant to international readers:
  • New enough, long enough, neutrally written, well referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. I have added "clarification needed" tags to the article where you're using the word crore; please write these figures in English terms. I have also added a "citation needed" tag to the claim that it is the largest in the world. If you don't have a solid reference for that, you could just write one of the largest in the world, but it still needs a cite.
  • ALT2a looks like the most interesting hook because it provides some details. I would suggest writing it like this:
  • ALT2b: ... that India's 2020 food security scheme, launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, is equal to feeding 2.5 times the population of the US, 12 times that of the UK, and twice that of the European Union?
  • No QPQ needed for nominator with less than 5 DYK credits. Yoninah (talk) 19:09, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyedit

[edit]

Just done a quick copyedit as per your request on the GOCE page. I'm not well versed in Indian affairs, so apologies if I've misunderstood the relationship between the various schemes. In particular, the line:

The scheme was initially launched on 26 March 2020, when the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in the first address to the nation in the wake of Corona-19 pandemic announced Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana

- which is a link to a page describing a (presumably different) scheme launched in 2016, with a name just one word different from the title of this article. I haven't changed it in case that's right, but if it's a mistake and should be referring to Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, I'd just remove the reference altogether as it just links back to this page. Change the line to:

The scheme was initially launched on 26 March 2020 by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in his first address to the nation in the wake of Corona-19 pandemic.

Just one tag I left, which is an uncited "according to some estimates" - you'll probably want to either provide an example of someone estimating that, or just remove the line.

Otherwise, it didn't need much doing to it, just shuffled some things around to make the narrative flow better. Good luck with the DYK nomination.

@Brickie: Thank you for the copyedit. Regarding your queries about the statements about the name (Thank you for pointing out the error) of the scheme and the sources, I have edited the sentence and have provided a relevant reference to the same. I have also cleared a maintenance tag by attributing the source to the claim made.
I hope the above clears the ambiguity in the article. Thank you again Santoshdts [TalkToMe] 16:41, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Made a couple of minor tweaks for flow after reading it again, otherwise looks good to me. Brickie (talk) 10:04, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
