Future Premium Stations[edit]

I cant find anything on the ptv site to support this list- or to support that there are any planned upgrades of stations to premium, It's been a fair while since that section was edited -and most of the stations listed have been listed since 2010, I'd like to remove the whole section, but it seemed a bit bold to do without some discussion first, any opinion anyone?? Features of a Premium Station[edit]

I don't think the listed features of a premium station are necessarily all true. While all the ones i've seen have had an enclosed waiting area, and they might have staff from first to last train (though i'd swear i've seen premium stations without staff while trains are running), they certainly don't all have PID systems installed- Mordialloc doesn't, it uses the same timetable system as Aspendale and Parkdale next to it. --Kyelewis 06:02, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou Kyelewis!!! I couldn't agree more, yes it is actually feasible that Connex may purport to provide a service when in reality they are not. - Nick

Regarding 'unwanted' changes[edit]

I ammended this article to reflect the truth, which is that many station's toilets are NOT open. This has been my experience and the experience of many people I know. None of the information on this page has been referenced, and exactly how many journalists (or Connex employees for that matter) are rushing out to document the availability of Premium Station toilets?

We could provide a legitimate reference to an existing timetable and say "trains always arrive at this time on this day", yet we all know this is hardly the case.

Perhaps people can contribute to this talk page and give an indication of their experiences.

Thank you for your suggestions.

Nick

Unclear language: "Staffed from first to last train"...[edit]

When I read this, I thought it's talking about having a staff in each train CAR from the first to the last. If this is meant to indicate the TIME range from first train run to the last train run (i.e. period of operation of the station), and since all trains are served, then why not just say "Staffed STATION" instead. I will go ahead and modify it, unless anyone has a problem, just revise to the intended meaning.

Missing Premium Station[edit]

Mitcham Station added to this list as it was missing Nick McC Metro Trains Melbourne 218.185.9.110 (talk) 23:54, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Someone has added the wrong station info, there are only 77 premium stations, Heatherdale, Northcote and Diamond Creek are not premiums —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.185.9.110 (talk) 23:44, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
