Correct recording date for "Presenting Isaac Hayes"

[edit]

The current article states that the album was released in February 1968 with added details that it was recorded January 15-17, 1968. This contradicts the release dates of 1967 given on discogs.com and allmusic.com. Notably, the US LP back cover text states "(C) 1967" (example), though not (P) 1967. Additionally, the allmusic.com article text strongly implies that the the album was released in 1967.

Unfortunately, rateyourmusic.com adds some doubt with a release date of March 1968. I could find no other significant references.

With the article infobox stating the album was recorded in 1968, I'm not comfortable changing the release date in the article without more data or consensus from the Wikipedia community should no further data be available. Someone out there felt they had pretty precise 1968 recording details.

That said, the "(C) 1967" on the US LP back cover would seem to invalidate a recording date in 1968 (pending details to the contrary). This would make changing the release date, and removing the 1968 recording dates, more palatable.

If anyone has further details on the release or recording dates, please comment here.
