[edit]article stuffed with errors, inconsistencies, oversimplifications, and misleading suggestions, apart from spelling/syntax problems and total lack of sources. In brief: Franco was neither the Regency Council member nor its president.
- „created the Regency Council on 26 July 1947” – the law was submitted for further proceedings on July 26, 1946 [not 1947]. It was approved in the referendum of July 6, 1947, and entered into force on July 27, 1947. The date of “26 July 1947” does not mark any particular event related
- “and became its president” – the Ley de Sucesión en la Jefatura del Estado, which established the Council, specified that its president be the Cortes speaker
- “This allowed Franco to hold this office as regent” – as Franco did not enter the Council and did not become its president, the statement is incorrect
- “Following his visit to Portugal, from 22 October 1949 to 27 October 1949...” – not following, but during the visit
- “...several politicians... “ - among 3 individuals who entered the body there was a bishop and a high military. The category of “politicians” is at least dubious here
- “...became regent” – they did not become regents, but members of the Regency Council. They formed part of collective regency and the category of “regent” is misleading here. Perhaps a "co-regent" would have been better
- “Later, following Franco's illness, the future king of Spain Juan Carlos was chosen as Franco's designated successor and became acting head of state from 19 July 1974 till 2 September 1974” – it has nothing to do with regency, Regency Council or its presidency. Juan Carlos was appointed provisional head of state, not member of the regency
- “he [Juan Carlos] became King of Spain a couple of days later on 22 November 1975 and reigned until his abdication on 19 June 2014” – this is irrelevant and has nothing to do with the Regency Council presidency
- List of regents/President [table]: Franco – incorrect. Franco was neither member nor president
- Acting regents [table]: “Brief interregnum as Franco visits Portugal” – this was not an “interregnum”; there was no king, so there was neither any “interregnum”
- Acting regents [table]: Franco "restored as Regent" – incorrect, he has never been formally a regent
- Juan Carlos as head of state [table] – irrelevant and misleading. It leads to suggestion that Juan Carlos when assuming the throne was somehow related to the Regency Council

- User:GB fan turned down my request for deletion claiming the entry should be edited instead of deleted. All right, I have edited it by removing all info which was rubbish. --Hh1718 (talk) 13:33, 30 September 2021 (UTC)
