GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
Is there anyway you can move the citations out of the lead, per WP:LEADCITE?
Moved the height and weight, kept the nickname reference because it is able to be challenged, and the sentence flows with the lead.
    Fair enough.

  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
A couple of sentence are missing a citation:
    • "Pezzullo was born on December 10, 1910, in Bridgeport, Connecticut."
    • "Combined, Pezzullo went 14–10 with a 5.19 ERA."
    • "He went 5–16 the following year, before leaving the team for the Syracuse Chiefs and the Buffalo Bisons in his final year of professional baseball in 1941."
    Fixed.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Google Image Search shows some pictures of Pezzullo. Can you upload one with a fair use rationale?
Added.
  1. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Once these comments are address, the article will pass.
