Clean-up[edit]

Main problems:

  1. Promotional undertone
  2. Dubious sections such as "change of logo and refresh", and "products". Do we really need an entire section devoted to detailing every product on sale?

agreed. this article is too much like an advertising brochure for this company. Will return. Amaher (talk) 23:29, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

removal of self published promotional material[edit]

I removed the following text today: Given the uncertainty in consumer confidence created by the global financial crisis, the brand was well placed at the value end of the retail market as consumers became more value conscious.[1] It clearly says in WP:SELFPUB that self published sources may be used so long as

  1. the material is not unduly self-serving;
  2. it does not involve claims about third parties;

so yes it's ok to state the rate of growth of the company and cite the parent company's annual report - but it's not really appropriate to use this source to make claims about what consumers (third parties) became aware of. You would need a more detailed study in a more reliable source for that. Cheers, --Amaher (talk) 10:38, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
