Frank Forde[edit]

I just gave the Ballarat Botanical Gardens a call... he first said they have busts of all PMs, then after a little discussion he thought he infact was the only one not there, now he is 80 percent sure Forde's bust is there. He says he will check it out on his next break and give me a call back. Nice fellow. Timeshift (talk) 01:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, he went to check it himself and it is there, between Curtin and Chifley. Ah well... perhaps next time eh. Timeshift (talk) 04:04, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
sorry guys, I will go through the camera's memory card again but I thought I got them all. Cheers, WikiTownsvillian 07:59, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
nope I've rechecked and I don't have him... perhaps his bust was as obscure as his Prime-Ministership... :) WikiTownsvillian 08:12, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a link to an ABC page that has it, for reference if nothing else. Jabalong 09:49, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Criticisms[edit]

I've cleaned up the sculptors section by moving some of the contents to a criticisms section, and i've included the claim I think came from wikitownsvillian that Keating was unhappy with his, and added a fact tag. Timeshift (talk) 16:04, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fraser got a new bust, apparently located "between Hawke and Keating". Is this right? He preceded both of them historically. -- JackofOz (talk) 22:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The wording was poor. What I meant was the bust was created, chronologically, between Hawke and Keating. Timeshift (talk) 23:06, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks - wording fixed. -- JackofOz (talk) 23:41, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Since it's about many prime ministers, not just one, I'd have thought it would be spelled Prime Ministers' Avenue.

The website calls it THE PRIME MINISTER'S AVENUE, but in the very next breath they do away with the apostrophe - "The Prime Ministers Avenue". Hence I wonder if we can take their spelling as gospel. -- JackofOz (talk) 23:41, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photo of the avenue[edit]

Whenever a kind soul gets around to taking a snap of Frank Forde, maybe a shot or two of the whole avenue would be nice, showing how they all appear in relation to each other. -- JackofOz (talk) 22:38, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

– Signage at the actual avenue has no apostrophe. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/lightcliff/4269276805/ A letter from the Ballarat Botanical Gardens confiming this can be seen here. http://www.docstoc.com/docs/35412598/PRIME-MINISTERS-AVENUE The redirect page also needs to be renamed to redirect back to the newly named page.
