I have a bunch of references could be used in this article but the instructions on how are baffling – would anyone else who does understand what to do like to make use of them? Taknaran (talk) 17:06, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

* 10 June 1868 Alamayou’s trip to England begins, via Suez, Alexandria, Malta and Marseilles, Record of the Expedition to Abyssinia.
* 14 July 1868 Speedy and Alamayou land at Plymouth, Dietrichsen And Hannay's Royal Almanack and Nautical and Astronomical Ephemeris.
* 15 July 1868 Alamayou visits Queen Victoria, Illustrated London News.
* 26 Jan 1869 Speedy takes Alamayou to India to be educated (they return 1871), Dictionary of Dates, and Universal Reference: Abyssinia.
* 3 March 1870 Victoria’s sons, visiting India, meet Alamayou and Speedy in Lukimpore, Notes of the visits to India of their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales.
* 18 April 1874 £700 annually reserved for Alamayou’s expenses, The Civil Service Estimates.
* 14 Nov 1879 Alamayou dies in Leeds, Dictionary of dates, and universal reference, Abyssinia.
