Last film[edit]

There has been reverting back and forth over the inclusion of the text This film was Cates' final major film appearance before she retired from acting (after meeting and eventually marrying her co-star, Kevin Kline); she and Kline subsequently co-starred with their children in The Anniversary Party (2001). That Cates did not appear in any film between 1994 and 2001 seem clearly factual. That this constituted a "retirement" is unsourced. The marriage, as TheOldJacobite writes above, is not really relevant to this article, and is already mentioned in Phoebe Cates which is linked from here. A source for "retired" should be provided.
