The principality was founded around Tambur. OK, but the name Tambur means nothing to the readers. ("Black Sea region" is not informative, for it covers more than a thousand kilometers) How about giving the coordinates or the names of modern localities around the former principality to visualise the exact location? There are many cities and states that are mentioned but yet to be discovered, Tambur is one of them. Hamamshen was built on and around it, so there may be no trace of its ruins. Its ruins may also have been renovated to make way for Hamamshen. If I were to give coordinates for Hamamshen, I'd have to use modern Hemshin's coordinates. Kind of like using the city of Van as a coordinate for the fortress of Tushpa. The Black Sea region does cover a big territory, but the area's history is so scare that I did not know what to include. The other options were Pontus, or Pontic Mountains. Lazistan is also an option. Kentronhayastan (talk) 06:25, 9 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
