translator notes[edit]

The French article is longer, some expansion possible. The list of abbots is from elsewhere, though, and while it might be useful, there are issues with translated names. Handsome John is probably Jean le Bel, for example. I think names should be left as is with translations in parentheses, myself, but verifying the actual names is more work than I am willing to do on this right now. If anyone comes along who wants to work on this, there is more material on the fr. wikipedia page, and please do take on the list of names if you feel so moved. I fixed the names. There were only two that I had translated to English (Richard le moine and Jean le bel) if there were other issues, let me know! I'm trying to translate more of it, but the original French article has issues that need fixing and many of its sources aren't available online.
