HNIC3 Classification

[edit]

Please stop listing HNIC3 under his "Official Albums". It was always intended as a mixtape & has been mentioned as one in various articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.228.145.233 (talk) 20:43, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sickle Cell Anemia

[edit]

There is no mention of that in the article about his condition. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.161.179.101 (talk) 10:05, 22 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I updated the article. --WheezyF (talk) 15:14, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody need to write about 2pac vs Mobb Deep

[edit]

Mobb Deep was a great enemy to 2pac. Somebody should write about that beef.

I prefer to keep rap beef out of the articles. It gets overwhelming. --WheezyF (talk) 15:15, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please keep "beef" out of the articles. Honestly, any squabbles he had with other artists is unimportant. The only instance where a rap battle should be mentioned in the piece is regarding Jay-Z. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.74.106.197 (talk) 15:41, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy over name?

[edit]

I think there should be a section on the main article which discusses the annoying fact that this rapper dared name himself so close to a band who have been around since the EARLY '90's. So he dropped the "the" - THE PRODIGY HAD THEIR NAME FIRST!!! But back to my point: I think there should at least be a mention of this similarity and how it annoys (and confuses) many of the TRUE Prodigy fans out there. --24.91.15.252 14:27, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

get over it. the prodigy are egregiously mundane and liam howlett swears he likes men.
Yeah get real, I seriously doubt the rapper Prodigy ever heard of the techno group, I mean give me a break. Had anyone in America heard of this group before they started playing that firestarter song on MTV, not likely. That dropped in 1996 "the Infamous" dropped 1995 and he probably had that name way before that. Not to mention the Prodigy only got play in the US for a year and Mobb Deep is over 10 years deep in constant radio play, so there is little confusion. 70.160.229.253 19:32, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
According to Albert Johnson's autobiography "My Infamous Life", the name "Prodigy" was given to him by a friend because of his uncanny rhyming ability and overall intelligence.

Fair use rationale for Image:Prodigy Return of the Mac.jpg

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Gun charges

[edit]

He has 3 charges for guns. 1 is in 2007 and the other 2 are ....? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.160.254.36 (talk) 14:28, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday

[edit]

What is it with Wikipedia deleting all the rappers DOBs? No citations, I take it? Well, on the song "Party Over", Prodigy said "everyday of my life, since 11/2/74". Therefore, that's his birthday. Thaaaaaaanks!--Tainted Drifter (talk) 06:02, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've added two sections, 9/11 and Conspiracy theorists

[edit]

In his song "Real power is people" from the album "H.N.I.C Pt. 2" he says the following: "Son I'm telling the truth you live it then you see it You breathe it then you be it I'll tell you lil secret It's a secret Government that worship an owl They practice witchcraft to harness they power. Pedophiles rape little kids for energy Its satanic rituals; WTC, RIP, Then lit the pentagon on fire That's lighting a pentagram on fire"

Neutrality

[edit]

The article about the rapper Prodigy seems to be partial. Especially in the section about his feuds there are instances where his opponoents are described condesendingly ("bitch" for instance). Mc nyregrus (talk) 14:31, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Clean up

[edit]

There are several instances in this article where the wording is unclear. For instance: "During an interview Prodigy stated that he didn't like Saigon, Tru-Life or many other rappers for that matter and dissed Prodigy back in an interview"

The general grammar can also be improved in the article. Mc nyregrus (talk) 14:38, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

grammy

[edit]

it says he won a grammy but there's no source - is this true? what did he win it for? more information would be good. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.33.141.180 (talk) 17:30, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Handguns

What up with the weak handguns this dude gets arrested for? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.12.235.105 (talk) 00:48, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Illuminati

[edit]

Why is there a whole section devoted to this one thing he rapped about as opposed to all the other things he rapped about? What is it about this legendarily nonsense conspiracy theory that made Prodigy's interest in it any more notable than his interest in those other things? There doesn't seem to be any reason for this section beyond an interest by one or more editors. - Hux (talk) 19:20, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have the songs

[edit]

So I have the songs saved on my for Prodigy and The Prodigy and I saw this one artist called "Prodigy" on an album with various artists that had a song, Charly by Prodigy. But the thing is, There is a song by The Prodigy called Charly (A Trip Into Drum And Bass). And y'know, Charly and Charly (A Trip Into Drum And Bass) are pretty similar songs. So what can I do? 68.50.116.194 (talk) 16:13, 2 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
