Intro

The intro on this article is clearly POV, unencyclopedic, and generally just sucks. I'd fix it, but I'm not qualified since I don't know anything about production BEVs...which is why I came here.

I agree with Daniel on the Intro, it is far too POV. I suggest the creator of the page remove the opinion and point of view references. Wikipedia isn't about people's personal views of things, it's an online encyclopedia and thus must deal with facts. I wouldn't suggest it be deleted as it has some merit as a central point for battery powered electric vehicles, but it does need to be cleaned up to conform to wiki standards. ZAP-X

ZAP-X is a Crossover Electric Vehicle to be built in 2007 by ZAP Motors and Lotus Engineering based on the Lotus APX prototype platform. The claimed performance statistics are a total of 644bhp from four in-wheel electric motors, a 350-mile single charge range, 155 mph top speed, 0 - 60 mph acceleration in 4.6 seconds and a 10 minute recharge time.

The announced specifications[1] closely match those from the Mini QED[2] built by PML Flightlink and imply that the Zap-X will use the same Hi-Pa Drive system. The 10 minute recharge time implies that Zap Motors intends to build a battery pack including NanoSafe technology from AltairNano. The 3 year exclusivity agreement between AltairNano and Phoenix Motorcars may affect the battery technology used in the Zap-X[3].
