Differential causes of hyperprolactinaemia

[edit]

The listing of causes, other than prolactinomas, of hyperprolactinaemia really belongs in the appropriate section of Prolactin.

The diagnosis and imaging needs to be mentioned here and will be slightly duplicated under the investigation of hyperprolactinaemia generally. David Rubentalk 22:01, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Symptoms

[edit]

I think the pain in chest/nipples should be added as a symptom. Mamendes (talk) 17:56, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tumor Spread

[edit]

In some cases, prolactinomas can spread into the surrounding tissue. Juan Carlos Fernadez-Miranda at Stanford University Medical Center has papers on it: https://profiles.stanford.edu/juan-fernandez-miranda?tab=publications Aido (talk) 05:03, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invasion of other tissues is rare in this pathology. It is generally considered to be a benign tumor. Just-a-can-of-beans (talk) 16:18, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
