Curtain Fig National Park listing

[edit]

Curtain Fig National Park is not listed ... perhaps it is to be included in the new Yungaburra National Park. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.167.208.23 (talk) 04:09, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Nature Conservation Act 1992 (Qld)

[edit]

The Nature Conservation Act 1992 was amended in 2013 - amendments included the following changes to the 'tenure structure':

  • Combining national park, national park (scientific) and national park (recovery) tenures into one tenure class called national park
  • Combining conservation park and resources reserve tenures into one tenure class called regional park
  • Grandfathering the coordinated conservation area tenure from future use
  • Abolishing the wilderness area, World Heritage management area, and international agreement area tenures
  • Abolishing the forest reserve tenure.

The amendments to the Act are summarised in the following link - http://www.nprsr.qld.gov.au/about/legislation/pdf/nc-act-ammend-faq.pdf. Can someone with an interest in protected areas in Queensland please have a look at what is required to update the article? Regards Cowdy001 (talk) 07:46, 15 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
