Proposed merge with Metacone, Hypocone[edit]

all are types of cones/conids, and are chiefly distinguished by relative position on tooth and to each other. one centralized article is better than 3 or 4 stubs. --Animalparty-- (talk) 23:39, 21 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Seems reasonable to me. Anaxial (talk) 06:57, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Merge to cusp (anatomy)? (pretty much a stub itself). Lesion (talk) 09:44, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Cusp of Carabelli too imo. Lesion (talk) 09:45, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Those are good suggestions, although cusp can apply to non-molar teeth as well. I think an article about cusps and crown anatomy would greatly complement the coverage on Molar (tooth), and could potentially even be merged there as a introductory discussion of major anatomical landmarks (cusps, lophs, cingula, etc.), an understanding of which are key to understanding the different types of molars in mammals. There seem to be a lot of stubs in the dental realm, many are simply definitions of the topic rather than encyclopedic topics. --Animalparty-- (talk) 22:25, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
