Possible invalid inter-wiki link[edit]

It could just be that I can't read German, but the link to Geodreieck seems to have nothing to do with protractors. Dan Slotman 20:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the link has nothing closely related to protractors.Versi 05:25, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Obviously, this has long been fixed. The German article about Winkelmesser is perfectly on topic. (FWIW a Geodreieck is a combination of a set square with integrated protractor. It is the most common form of set square used in some countries, including Germany. So, the original link was at least partially on-topic as well.)

The bevel protractor article does not contain sufficient information to stand on its own. As it is a specific kind of protractor, it should be merged into this article.

Seemed to have not been controversial suggestion so I have started making the merge -Hunting dog (talk) 19:06, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

combination french curve / protractor[edit]

Please add picture of classic common clear plastic combination french curve / protractor (which was standard in US schools in the 1960s).-71.174.183.177 (talk) 02:08, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Totally illogical name[edit]

Protractor does not protract anything. "Anglemeter" or "angle meter" would be the correct name.
Google image search:

  • protractor: About 103,000 results
  • anglemeter: About 72,700 results
  • "angle meter": About 67,800 results

For measuring angles "protractor" is as illogical as "extender" 85.193.211.244 (talk) 04:51, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
