Are the ranks translated correctly? I am not an expert on this, but according to Czech wikipedia, rotný means to Staff Sergeant, rotmistr means Segreant First Class, and praporčík roughly corresponds to Sergeant Major. Nazgul02 (talk) 13:34, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For translation of ranks see my article in Czech military magazine A-Report 1/2009 pg. 40 [1] and 2/2009 pg. 38 [2]. Czech Wikipedia is wrong. Correct rank and grade translation of NATO ranks can be found in STANAG 2116. Czech Armed Forces have grades OR-3 through OR-9, with OR-3 being the lowest (basic) grade.
