As a general rule of thumb, the Revo should be recharged when the battery level is between 10% and 20%. The red fast charge light should show for about an hour before switching to trickle charge. Some users have experienced problems when recharging their Revo, with the Revo switching from fast charge (red light) to trickle charge (green light) before the batteries are fully recharged.

One charging technique that has been used with some success is to place the Revo on top of an an ice-pack (or frozen vegetables) wrapped in a towel when recharging, which prevents the premature switchover to trickle charging. Caution: this could cause the batteries to overheat, since the cold interferes with the Revo's internal heat sensors. Remove the Revo from the cold pack after the red light (fast charge) has been on for about an hour. A few minutes later, with the source of cold removed, the Revo should automatically shift to trickle charge, and can be left plugged in for another six hours, if desired, without any risk of overcharging.

The main reason of Revo battery problems is faulty contact in connectors. So the right way to solve all these problems is to fix or replace the connectors. Miha Ulanov 12:01, 16 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the link to the user guide. It says "Widget Revo Quick Reference Guide - The only user guide ever produced for Revo handhelds", even though I have a quick start guide and a full manual for my Revo. It links to a "product not found" page, which also implies it was a link to an online store. 141.218.144.34 (talk) 17:50, 29 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
