[edit]I heard somewhere that if you get caught with mushrooms in possession that you can be punished with attempted murder. And ive also herd that if you get consuming them that you can be pronounced legally insane. Anyone know the truth about all that?
No.
[edit]That's just an urban legend.
First off, there is no definition of "legally insane." Second, you can't charge someone for something they didn't do. Did you attempt to murder anyone?
The Controlled Substances Act may be insane, but it's not that crazy.
People get charged all the time for things they didn't do. People even get convicted, even executed, for things they didn't do. Drug laws are crazy. Not crazy enough to work, but definitely crazy. That being said though, I've never heard the bit about shrooms possession being attempted murder. I've heard that said about LSD, however, but afaik is still urban legend. As far as the law is concerned, it's a Schedule I drug, not a weapon in and of itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.177.241.107 (talk) 19:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
