Surely the early tokens were not made of aluminium

So, it states "In Great Britain, Ireland and the US, during the 17th to 20th centuries", and further down, "The early tokens were usually made of brass or aluminum".

There is no way the first tokens were made of aluminium. First of all it was first isolated in 1824, more than 100 years after the 17th century. It then remained extremely expensive until the late 19th century, being worth more than pure gold during much of that time. 83.248.73.60 (talk) 09:32, 19 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
