  • With start of construction activities regarding establishment of world’s largest irrigation system in Indus and Ganga Valleys of Indo-Pakistan subcontinent, dare need of field supervisory staff was realized for the assistance of irrigation engineers so first batch of Civil Surveyor class was admitted in Oriental College Lahore University of the Punjab in 1873. A lot of this information seems to be WP:Original research or promotional information from the subject of the article. Are there books, newspapers, magazines, or other secondary, sources?

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that Government_College_of_Technology_(Rasul) be merged into University_of_Engineering_and_Technology,_Rasul. Rasool College has ceased to exist as a singular entity and the entire college has been upgraded to a degree awarding institute. A 100 years old institutions needs to have a proper history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ysfjwd (talkcontribs) 06:59, 12 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Next steps

[edit]
1) Find sources for the information. (See: Wikipedia:Citing sources)
2) Remove bold from this content. Bold should only be used in the intro for the subject of the article.
3) Edit for WP:Encyclopedic style and tone, some of the content is not written in an objective, encyclopedic tone.
4) Change ALL CAP NAMES to correctly Captialized names.
5) Provide the correct title for "RJ's Name" - What does RJ mean?
6) Clarify rhetoric, some of which may be unclear due to translation to English.--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:36, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New name

[edit]

Regarding this addition:

NOTE: As approved by Chief Minister of Punjab on 22nd February 2014 and acknowledged by Secretary Higher Education on 25th February 2014 ; the College is upgraded to University and New name will be RASUL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY.

I couldn't find a since use of "Rasul University of Technology" - do you have a magazine, newspaper or other reliable source that documents this new name?

In addition, it should be added to the introduction / history - and if this is truly the new name, the article name should be changed. I can help with that if we can get a source documenting the change.--CaroleHenson (talk) 14:50, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
