another example?

[edit]

Would Jim Henson's Time Piece be another example of this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.27.143.179 (talk) 15:18, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"coined by Europeans"

[edit]

I was bold and deleted the assertion that 'pure cinema' was "coined by Europeans", a phrase that struck me as both unreferenced and so ambiguous as to be meaningless (which Europeans are we talking about?). --Fang Aili 19:19, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"bicycle thieves"

[edit]

i'm not sure if this should be classified as "pure cinema" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.216.111.113 (talk) 18:46, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

What's with the references? The format is unacceptable, isn't it? I'm going to talk to the creator of the article to see if he can clarify what he meant by these. 99.246.82.233 21:32, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Based upon the Dictionary of Film Terms: The Aesthetic Companion To Film Art by Frank Eugene Beaver which considers "Cinéma pur" and "Pure cinema" the same thing, I will go ahead with the merge.--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:34, 14 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
